This March, a gustatory revolution is set to soar as American Airlines unveils an array of tantalizing new menu choices for its passengers, accompanied by the innovative opportunity to redeem AAdvantage® miles for onboard dining.

Starting March 4, new culinary delights will debut in selected Admirals Club® lounges, with in-flight offerings following on March 12.

Noteworthy additions include:

  • A nationwide introduction of classic American sliders and fries on board, available for pre-order on shorter domestic routes, following a successful pilot at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
  • A quintet of fresh breakfast offerings, ranging from a robust white cheddar and Monterey Jack omelet to a lavish smothered veggie and cheese frittata.
  • Admirals Club® lounges will feature local culinary favorites, including customizable tacos in Miami, Argentine beef empanadas in Dallas, and edamame shrimp teriyaki in Nashville, Tennessee.
  • An enhanced selection of premium spirits in lounges, augmented with new mixers and sober choices.

“As spring travel heats up, our customers are eager to see new food and drinks across our menus. Whereas warm comfort foods like soups rule the skies in the fall and winter, the spring season has people craving fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as tried-and-true summer dishes like our new sliders and fries,” said Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer.

Spring Taste Revival American’s culinary experts have prepared a scrumptious lineup that will premiere in select Admirals Club® lounges on March 5 and extend to all U.S. and Canada locations by March 17.

Travelers eager for snacks can pick from portable delights such as Darlington Oatmeal Bars, Realsy Peanut Butter Dates, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Wildway Granola Snack Packs, and Outrageously Good Caramel and Cheese Popcorn by Everybody Eats.

  • A biscuit paired with chicken sausage gravy and cheesy scrambled eggs
  • A white cheddar and Monterey Jack omelet served with chicken sausage and seasoned wedge potatoes
  • A smothered veggie and cheese frittata accompanied by tomato wedges and everything seasoned potatoes
  • A Swiss and veggie omelet with Italian chicken sausage and seasoned wedge potatoes
  • A three-cheese omelet served with seasoned wedge potatoes Premium cabin passengers can also pre-order sliders and fries for flights over 900 miles. The recent test phase drew rave reviews for the “delicious” sliders and perfectly crunchy fries.

A Blossoming of Spirits The Admirals Club® bar, a favorite haunt for many, now boasts a new lineup of premium spirits and drinks, including Still Gin, Casamigos Añejo Tequila, Tequila Ocho Reposado, Kahlua, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and Horse Soldier Bourbon.

This spring, the beverage menu is expanded to include favorites and new options like a rotating mocktail, starting with the Peachy Keen in March, Carolan’s Irish Cream, and Fever-Trees Espresso Martini Mix.

Enhanced Offerings for AAdvantage Members From March 18, AAdvantage® members can use their miles to buy food and drinks on eligible flights, enhancing the already popular option of securing a One-Day Admirals Club pass with AAdvantage® miles (or $79).
