British-Themed Dining at Toronto Pearson

As part of the anniversary celebrations, Toronto Pearson International Airport is offering a special British-inspired menu at the Ice Bar throughout March, bringing a taste of the UK to departing passengers. British Airways customers will also receive a $5 meal coupon during the first week of the month.

A Legacy of Transatlantic Excellence

British Airways’ connection between Toronto and London dates back to March 1, 1960, when British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) introduced the route with a Comet 4 jet from Heathrow. Later that year, BOAC expanded service with a Boeing 707, operating twice weekly via Prestwick and Montreal.

Fast forward to today, the Toronto–London route remains one of British Airways’ most significant transatlantic connections. The airline currently operates 14 direct flights per week between Toronto and London Heathrow Terminal 5, with state-of-the-art Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft scheduled for this summer.

Expanded Service from Vancouver & Across Canada

Elsewhere in Canada, British Airways is ramping up its summer schedule, boosting its Vancouver–London Heathrow service to 14 flights per week. This includes an additional seven weekly flights during peak summer, offering travelers even greater flexibility. With the airline’s daily flight to London Gatwick, customers in Vancouver will have access to three flights per day between June and September.

Overall, British Airways will operate up to 42 weekly flights between Canada and London this summer, making 2025 one of its busiest Canadian travel seasons yet.

Unparalleled British Airways Experience

Travelers flying from Canada can enjoy the signature British Airways experience, including:

A choice of premium cabins with world-class comfort
Curated dining experiences featuring top-quality ingredients
Seamless connections through London Heathrow’s extensive global network

With 65 years of transatlantic excellence, British Airways continues to bridge Canada and the UK, offering exceptional service, world-class connectivity, and unforgettable travel experiences.
