Etihad expands its Madrid route to twice daily from summer 2025, enhancing seamless travel between Abu Dhabi, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East & Asia.
Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is set to deepen its collaboration with Spanish airline Air Europa, paving the way for a strategic alliance aimed at expanding commercial and operational synergies. This strengthened partnership will provide travelers with enhanced connectivity, superior service offerings, and greater value.
As part of its expansion strategy, Etihad will increase its flight frequency to Madrid, Air Europa’s primary hub, to twice daily starting in summer 2025. This development will establish more seamless travel options between Abu Dhabi and Spain while significantly improving access between Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
The two airlines already maintain a codeshare agreement that allows passengers to earn and redeem miles through their respective frequent flyer programs. By deepening their cooperation, Air Europa will gain a stronger presence in the Middle Eastern and Asian markets, utilizing Etihad’s Abu Dhabi hub as a key gateway for expanded global connectivity.
