Passengers flying with Singapore Airlines can now check in and drop off their luggage at Hong Kong Station, allowing them to make the most of their time before departure. This newly launched service enables travelers to complete check-in procedures and baggage drop at the MTR station, giving them the freedom to explore, shop, or relax without the hassle of carrying their luggage.

With this addition, Singapore Airlines joins the ranks of Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, and Qantas in offering In-town Check-in services at Hong Kong Station. According to MTR Corporation, this service officially became available on February 24, providing added convenience for air travelers.

How to Use the In-Town Check-in & Luggage Drop Service

Passengers holding an Octopus card or an Airport Express ticket can enter the check-in area and proceed directly to self-service kiosks or designated baggage drop stations. Those with only e-passports or Mainland Travel Permits must check in at manned counters within the MTR station. Once check-in is complete, travelers can board the Airport Express for a seamless journey to the airport.

Availability & Operating Hours

This facility is open to travelers on flights scheduled to depart between 24 hours and 90 minutes before departure. The service operates daily from 9:00 AM to 5:20 PM, providing ample time for passengers to check in before heading to the airport.

Service Limited to Hong Kong Station—Not Available at Kowloon

The In-town Check-in Service is exclusively available at Hong Kong Station for Singapore Airlines passengers. Unlike Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, and Qantas, which offer check-in at Hong Kong, Kowloon, and Tsing Yi stations, Singapore Airlines has yet to extend this service to Kowloon Station.

With the Airport Express providing a swift 25-minute journey between the city and the airport, this check-in option adds another layer of convenience for travelers flying with Singapore Airlines from Hong Kong.
