In 2025, Air France and SNCF Voyageurs commemorate 30 years of collaboration, underscoring their commitment to seamless connectivity and sustainable travel. This long-standing alliance has made airport access more convenient via train travel, aligning with the broader goal of promoting low-carbon transportation solutions. As part of their evolving partnership, the two companies are introducing a major innovation for members of Flying Blue, the Air France-KLM loyalty program. Travelers can now convert their earned Miles into electronic vouchers, redeemable for travel on the TGV INOUI network.
Revolutionizing Travel with TGV INOUI Vouchers
For the first time globally, Flying Blue members can now exchange their loyalty Miles for SNCF Voyageurs travel vouchers directly through the Flying Blue Store. These digital vouchers, available in denominations ranging from €25 to €100, can be used across the TGV INOUI network for ticket purchases made through SNCF Voyageurs-approved channels.
Flying Blue rewards customers with Miles when they fly with Air France, KLM, or Transavia, as well as through partner purchases. Traditionally, these Miles could be used for award flights, sustainable aviation fuel contributions, and charitable donations. With the latest development, members now have a fresh avenue to maximize their rewards by using Miles for high-speed rail travel, offering a greener, more integrated travel experience.
30 Years of Innovation in Air-Rail Connectivity
Since 1995, Air France and SNCF Voyageurs have worked together to bridge air and rail travel, pioneering the ‘Train+Air’ service, previously branded as TGV Air. Over the past three years, this service has seen substantial growth, expanding from 28 routes in 2022 to 41 routes in 2025—an increase of nearly 50%. Today, 22 train stations across France offer direct connections to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports, streamlining travel with a fully digital booking system.
The ‘Train+Air’ service ensures passengers enjoy a single booking for their train and flight journeys, complete with a built-in guarantee of assistance in case of travel disruptions. If delays or cancellations occur, passengers receive automatic rebooking on the next available flight or train at no extra charge.
Since 2019, over 600,000 travelers have utilized the ‘Train+Air’ service, reflecting the rising preference for intermodal travel solutions. In 2024, the most in-demand routes included Lyon, Lille, and Strasbourg, with many passengers continuing their journeys to North America and the Caribbean.
A Continued Commitment to Seamless and Sustainable Travel
Air France and SNCF Voyageurs remain dedicated to enhancing intermodal travel, ensuring rail and air services complement one another for an improved passenger experience. This latest integration of Flying Blue Miles into the SNCF Voyageurs ecosystem is another step towards a more interconnected and environmentally conscious travel network. As both companies look to the future, they continue to refine their offerings, making it easier for passengers to choose efficient, sustainable transportation options without compromising on convenience.
