Qatar and Iran have signed a landmark MoU to expand air transport rights, enhance aviation cooperation, and address operational challenges for airlines.

The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at increasing air transport rights between the two countries. The agreement marks a significant step toward enhancing connectivity and cooperation in civil aviation between Qatar and Iran.

The memorandum was signed by Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri, Acting Director of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, on behalf of Qatar, and Hossein Pourfarzana, Head of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, on behalf of Iran. The ceremony also saw the presence of HE Ali Saleh Abadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Qatar, highlighting the importance of the agreement.

This MoU reflects the mutual commitment of both nations to strengthen ties in the field of aviation. The agreement is expected to open up new opportunities for airlines and improve the ease of travel for passengers between Qatar and Iran.
