Emirates Expands Retail Presence in Egypt with New Emirates World Store in Cairo

Emirates, the world’s leading international airline, has introduced its innovative Emirates World store in Egypt, bringing its modernized retail concept to a key market. This new addition enhances the customer journey by integrating immersive product displays, advanced digital technology, and expert travel advisory services.

A Prestigious Opening at Cairo’s 5A WaterWay

Situated in the upscale 5A WaterWay district in Cairo, the Emirates World store was officially inaugurated by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, alongside Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations – Centre. The event was graced by Her Excellency Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt; Pilot Montaser Mana, Egypt’s Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation; and Amr Kady, CEO of the Egypt Tourism Authority. Several distinguished guests, key industry partners, and media representatives also attended the launch, underscoring the importance of this milestone.

A New Era of Customer Engagement

Spanning an impressive 332 square meters, the Emirates World store in Cairo offers a seamless, lounge-like experience, reflecting the airline’s signature in-flight ambiance. The space is designed with a bright, open-plan aesthetic and features standout installations such as a full-scale Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge display and a replica of the airline’s renowned First Class suite.

Customers can access personalized services at nine dedicated counters, where knowledgeable travel consultants assist with flight bookings, itinerary planning, reservations, and general inquiries. The store also incorporates smart solutions like an interactive “selfie mirror,” allowing travelers to capture snapshots against breathtaking destination backdrops, sparking inspiration for future journeys. Additionally, self-service kiosks enable guests to handle bookings and other travel-related tasks independently, reducing wait times and streamlining the experience.

Strengthening Ties with Egypt

Emirates has been a key player in Egypt’s aviation and tourism sectors for nearly 40 years. Since its inaugural flight to Cairo in 1986—less than a year after the airline’s launch—Emirates has carried over 10.6 million passengers on this route. Today, the airline operates four daily flights to the Egyptian capital, reinforcing its commitment to the market.

Beyond air connectivity, Emirates plays a significant role in local employment, with over 920 Egyptian nationals currently serving as cabin crew members. Their presence helps showcase Egypt’s renowned hospitality and cultural heritage to passengers worldwide.

The launch of the Emirates World store in Cairo is a testament to the airline’s ongoing investment in Egypt, offering travelers an enhanced retail experience while strengthening ties between the UAE and Egypt’s dynamic travel industry.
