Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants reveals the extended 51-100 list for 2024

Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants has unveiled the extended rankings of the top restaurants from 51st to 100th for 2024, celebrating a greater number of dining establishments across the region. Compiled from the votes of 300 industry experts, the list showcases culinary excellence across Latin America, giving more recognition to a wider range of restaurants and highlighting the vibrant and diverse food culture of the region.

The 51-100 list was announced ahead of the official release of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024, which will be revealed on November 26 in Rio de Janeiro, in collaboration with Rio de Janeiro City Hall and sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna.

Mexico City Leads the Extended List

Topping the extended list at No. 51 is La Docena in Polanco, Mexico City, followed closely by other standout entries from the region. Santiago, Chile boasts seven entries, including returning favorites like Yum Cha (No. 54) and Pulpería Santa Elvira (No. 57), as well as newcomers such as Casa Las Cujas (No. 72) and Karai by Mitsuharu (No. 98). Buenos Aires also shines with four restaurants featured on the list, including Mengano (No. 82), a first-time entry.

New Entrants Make Their Mark

Thirteen new restaurants debuted on the 51-100 list, with Afluente in Bogotá taking the highest spot at No. 61. Clara (No. 88) in Quito, a recipient of the American Express One To Watch Award, and Tributo (No. 92) also make their debut. Other new entries include Conservatorium (No. 70) in Costa Rica, Azafrán (No. 84) in Mendoza, Argentina, and La Tapa Del Coco (No. 74) in Panama City, among others.
