Omni Hotels & Resorts has officially commenced construction on the Omni Pontoque Resort in Punta de Mita, marking the brand’s inaugural luxury resort in Mexico. Slated to open its doors in late 2026, the project is backed by an experienced design team featuring Bob Glazier, HKS Architects, Farouki Farouki, Girvin Associates, and Waldrop + Nichols, with construction management led by The Beck Group.

In line with Omni’s commitment to crafting exceptional environments that reflect their surroundings, the resort will blend local cultural elements with a modern aesthetic. The architectural design draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the area, showcasing sleek lines and incorporating a harmonious mix of stone, wood, and metal finishes, evoking the essence of a contemporary beach residence.

This stunning beachfront resort will offer 244 guest rooms and suites, along with two luxurious four-bedroom villas, all boasting expansive vistas of Banderas Bay. Enhancing the local experience, the resort will introduce three unique dining options, a destination spa equipped with 14 treatment rooms, two retail outlets, and a variety of pools catering to both adults and families. Guests will also have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center, featuring both indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as a dedicated kids club.

The Omni Pontoque will provide more than 27,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space, including a spacious 6,000 square foot ballroom, an open-air pavilion, several event lawns, and specialized meeting rooms, all designed to showcase stunning ocean views.
